The lack of state income tax is usually made up in a consumption tax or sales tax. Florida, Texas and Tennessee are much the same way as they don't have state income tax either. The Free State project was created to have Libertarian minded people (usually fiscally conservative but socially liberal - with variations therein) move to a small state, take up residence, and then start becoming influential as a voting base (again, voting in a Libertarian manner). Not enough people want to live in that cold of a climate though.

Not exactly--the Free State Project was started a few years ago by a libertarian who, IIRC was a poli sci insructor at Yale. The idea was to pick one small state and encourage libertarians to move there in droves to create a libertarian state. The libertarian movement (and party) have been around for a long time now, but have never gotten much political traction. I think this was an effort to do something about that.

The final choice came down to either NH or Wyoming, and they went with NH. I don't know how effective it has been. Given that NH voted 52-46 for Obama, my guess would be not very.

Yes, down with the facists and up with the leftists who openly admit to wanting a one-ideology, totalitarian state.

I hope she starts with all guns possessed by non-gov't agents. NH is waaaay too right wing when it comes to civilians being allowed to possess guns.

Especially assault rifles now that they've become newly defined by Progressives.

You're no different from the religious right, you are just as dogmatic. You say things like "you can't tolerate the intolerable" referring to conservatives or religious people, but that is the same thing the extreme-right says about you.

Why can't you people live and let live?
Why can't YOU people live and let live? But NO - you want to control my reproductive rights; you want to force children who are not necessarily Christians to recite the Lords Prayer in school; you want to turn our schools into armed encampments. You have a hissy fit if you are not greeted as you see fit during the Holidays (and it damn well be MERRY CHRISTMAS) . . .

Why can you people just live and let live?

This is why the lunatic left and right need to be dumped.

They chose Wyoming and the surrounding states because it's a more libertarian place and FAR from NY..

So you applaud getting rid of "Fascists" so that instead you can have a state of one-party rule? Do you realize the irony of your comment?

Let's use a little logic, shall we?

You have rights related to reproduction. No one can tell you that you're not allowed to have a child. After all, if you or your husband want to have a child. Great. If you don't want a child at this moment, there's options to prevent pregnancy. However, once pregnant, it's another LIFE. You can't willingly say, I'm going to kill this LIFE because I want to. If you condone the killing of unborn children, then you have huge issues to deal with.

Click on the following link if you want to see what abortion entails. It's an outright travesty of justice that anyone could do this to the least of these.

When was the last time anyone had school-led prayer during the school day? It's been a long time. However, prayer would do something good. It would help instill values in kids and help lead them to Christ. One thing is true, you'd have fewer problems in society if schools still had public prayer.

Many schools throughout the country already have school resource officers (SROs). The left has been complaining about safety in the schools being a problem. An SRO would help provide extra safety.

That's because it was left-wing loons who took it upon themselves to demean the name of Christmas, calling Christmas Lights "Holiday Lights", and Christmas Parties "Holiday Parties". What about Christmas Shopping, the Christmas Season, all replaced with the word "Holiday" in these people's minds. What's worse, they have nativity scenes put away, Christmas trees taken down, and yet people like you think that the majority, yes majority, should have no say.

I'm not very old, only 35 years old, but I remember a gradual change in this terminology in the media, government, and schools starting in the early 90s. Imagine a time when you see advertisements stating "Christmas Sale", or commercials saying, "For all your Christmas Shopping". How about a time when nativity scenes were more abundant, and anyone saying "Holiday Tree" would thought to be odd. This wasn't a long time ago, but the communists/Marxists/Progressives/Socialists/Democrats have sought to change our religious culture. They are evil.

Why can't the left stop pushing their agenda which is guided by who? Well, satan, of course.

Right. Conservatives are bad people.

Now, about the subject in the OP, any thoughts on HER?

This will backfire...even voters who don't especially share the Free State philosophy won't appreciate this kind of heavy-handedness.
