First of off, I am currently watching a episode of the 1960's TV show 'The Rat Patrol' right now starring Christopher George. It's a good show to watch so you can FEEL that United States Patriotism that the proud men and women of our armed services gave us during that time during the 1940's in WW2. Now getting to the topic. I have never heard of this Ted Cruz fellow but he seems to be a 'Tea Party' politician that has created controversy due to his citizenship. Apparently the website 'Politico' has brought back up the Obama eligibility crisis by claiming this guy who 'might' want to run for president is not eligible because many say he is not a 'natural born Citizen'. From the article a Constitutional Professor says this:
The U.S. Constitution states: “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President…”
“The question ultimately is, What do we mean by a natural born citizen?” asked Yale law professor Bruce Ackerman.
“The problem is, no one knows what a natural born citizen is,” agreed University of Arizona professor Gabriel Chin.

I for one am glad to see this issue come up.
I absolutely believe Obama needs to be scrutinized however this is a larger issue that needs to be addressed.
What is a standard and specific (non-ambiguous) list of criteria for eligibility to hold the office of POTUS.
Yes but when the constitution was written married woman took the nationality of the husband. The children were citizens of the country of the father. While in practice this has changed I'm not sure if this would disqualify him from running.
The newly sworn-in Texas senator and rising Republican star was born in Canada
Either reading at a 5th grade level is beyond people who think it is about his father, or people are just lying again.
