Typical Republican response. "But that trend or tendency can't be true because I know of 1 exception!"

That's not hypocrisy. That's just being smart.

I liked reading Ayn Rand's ideas but they're not actually realistic. As a single example, one of her main theses is that great people do their great works without the help of others, which is completely wrong. People very often work in groups, and more importantly, every innovation builds on numerous other innovations made by other people. Think of how many aspects of technology, thought, and work with physical materials go into making a computer, for instance.

Ayn Rand would have you think the man who invented the PC was some genius who didn't need any knowledge of electricity or engineering to make it, not to mention he was oppressed and HATED when he made his invention. Complete nonsense.
You obviously don't understand her writings at all. And you especially haven't identified her "main theses".

Only an idiot would think that they invented a PC from scratch and Rand was not an idiot.

Who would that be? I've never heard of such a person.

The point of hers which I refuted is also pretty central to her philosophy, which makes her considerably more "wrong".
You didn't refute anything of Rand's. You refuted a statement that you made up which is nothing like Rand's philosophy.

Her "benefits" comprised her property from the first instance, whether stolen or not.

Why is that interesting? I seriously doubt that "Conservative Christians" look to Ayn Rand for spiritual advice. Just like they probably wouldn't look to Obama for lessons in honesty.

Some people are able to learn from a wide variety of people; others, maybe not.

Yeah, that's it! All psychologists, psychiatrists, evolutionary psychologists, and sociobiologists are wrong on the fact that we group dynamics are hard-wired, because an article on Tesla says he was a withdrawn, shy person who never married?

Also, are you trying to say that shy people don't function in society? Where the hell do you get that? Even your beloved article explained he lived in society. He wasn't an outcast who never saw human beings, lived off the land, and wore a fur-skin peepee-cover.

Please cease with the silliness, and provide something that makes sense. I also like my down time, but that doesn't mean I don't live in this society, within the group, interact with other humans, belong to a family comprising of mom, dad, sister, brother, etc., and don't work. You know perfectly well what I mean by the dynamics of living within a group.

How come Republicans are always fond of the, "Well, your studies are all wrong because I found 1 exception" and then they provide some dumma$$ unrelated thingamajig? Sigh. I hate my time wasted this way.

These people, for the most part depend on corporatist pathology to earn their pay.

There's not much money in cures, there's much, much more in treatments.
