I know that most people here have a secular world view. But you have no idea what danger the nation is truly in. God could solve our economic problems in a second. He could have a plan that would be so simple that you would never believe the wonder of it. The only thing is that our wicked society has caused him to turn his favor away from us. He has blinded us to the solution.

If social issues are the only thing that matter now, the entire conservative ideology can just surrender now. The only issue they have/had somewhat going for them at times was economic.

You state in your first paragraph that you seem to believe in God. But in your second paragraph you seem to be saying that he has no concern for the world's affairs, or no influence in them.

No, we also have adhering to the constitution, striving for a colorblind society, controlling illegal immigration, eliminating restrictions on personal freedom, keeping a strong national defense, reforming education, protecting free speech from speech codes, hate speech laws, and the fairness doctrine, etc. Liberals like to paint conservatives as being backward christian zealots on social issues but if you actually look at what conservatives want instead of taking a liberal's word for what conservatives want, then you will find that we hold a lot of ethical secular positions on social issues. It's not all abortion and homosexual marriage.

I do agree that many rank and file conservatives are ahead of some of their self-proclaimed leaders on certain issues.
A lot of anti-liberty policies would not be possible if conservatives withdrew their support from Republicans who advocate them.
