You don't even get that much time in more moderate Virginia for DUI on the first offense.
That is my problem with this case, the punishment was excessive for the crime that was committed. Contempt of court, I could buy a week in jail and even a fine of $1-2k. The punishment was excessive and screams of a tyrant judge who got butthurt.
For those who support the judges actions, let me ask you this:
Who is the victim of her alleged crime? Who can show demonstrable damages by her possession of Xanax bars?
None of this matters. It was her immature reaction that caused the outcome.
