The hard right teabaggers/GOP thugs.

All 22 senators that voted against the violence against women act are male, and hard to the right with notable people including Marco "water gate" Rubio, Rand Paul, and Mitch McConnell.

Coming off the the GOP's spanking in 2012 with their epically failed "war on women", you would think these people would have gotten the clue,...apparently not,....

And those that did oppose could be classified as neanderthals.

Like this man, if you could call him a man.

VAWA should be permanent, not something voted on every 5 years for reauthorization.

No woman, no matter her status in this country, should be subjected to violence without the protection of law. I have to wonder if those that voted against this Act actually know what it is about and what it provides.

Those foolish republicans. I wish they would just dismantle their party, rather than continue this long drawn out process of party suicide. They should just take their money and go away and not be allowed near politics for the rest of their lives, which for most, it doesn't look like there's much life left since many look like they have one foot in the grave.

Well, of course. Treating a woman like a human being is against their morals.

Wow this is terrible. The VAWA was clearly needed because we don't already have laws against committing violent acts against women.

More stupid "feel good" legislation. How about a "violence against puppies" bill? All these women need is a pistol and a few hours of training. Problem solved.

It is ironic that this bill was signed into law by the serial rapist and sexual predator Bill Clinton who beat up his victims and had is wife threaten others that dared to speak out.

Joe Biden was the originator of VAWA.

Do you have proof that Clinton was a serial rapist? He beat up his victims??? Well, that's news to me. Please provide links to support your claims. Did his "victims" press charges against him and was he convicted? What threats did Hillary make and to who??

Do you live in a cave? There are laws in place against animal abuse. But, I would think someone would make an exception and overlook those laws if someone were to abuse you.

No doubt. If the GOP loons had their way, I'm sure they would love to force their own kind of sharia law on americans.

political pandering at its best.

I wouldn't have voted for it either, but only because there are provisions in the bill that EVERYONE could benefit from. Outside of buying a demographic off with this one, I don't see why anyone would support such an exclusionary bed of legislation.
