Liberals Taking Tax Deductions: Hypocritical?

No more than conservatives who use Medicare and Social Security.

I may not like liberals very much. or should I say, I don't often agree with them, but they have every right to take the deductions. What needs to be changed is the deductions allowed. Some tax credits need to be adjusted if nothing else..

What does drive me up the wall; those who will cheat to use tax credits or those who think there should be more tax write offs for middle and lower class and less for the upper middle class and above. What is allowed for one should be allowed for all. Regardless of what some may want to admit, the rick still pay almost all the taxes, write offs or not. That is the price they pay for making money that many of them worked their asses off to make.

Yes, well said. A good example of this is that obscene $1,000 child tax credit which "phases out" among higher income taxpayers. Why shouldn't they receive the same break that everyone else does?

If they are wealthy, yes, they are.

Absolutely. Especially when our liar of a President, goes out and claims he has to get rid of this and that and this and that if the Republicans dont want to raise taxes. BS. We cant find $40 something billion in waste, is that what this lying dirtbag is telling us?!?

Any liberal who has money to live above their means after taxes and doesnt voluntarily give up more is a hypocrite. Especially when they support people like Obama after what he just went out and spewed.

That was NetJets, a private company owned by Berkshire Hathaway. If you know anything about Warren Buffet, you would know that he likes to buy companies with good management and to let them run the show without interference. He does not micromanage companies that Berkshire buys and had nothing to do with that effort to reduce user fees for NetJets' customers.

See how that works?
Had three kids. ALL went to private schools.

See how that works? Its called personal responsibility and taking care of your own family. I don't ask you to pay money for my children, don't ask me to pay money for yours. You will of course, you want your cake and eat it too.

The idea that Warren Buffet is a hypocrite for not voluntarily paying more in taxes is a nonsensical, child-like argument.

A hypocrite in this usage is "a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings." His belief is that wealthy people should have to pay more in taxes. He would be a hypocrite if his belief was that wealthy people should voluntarily pay more in taxes, while not doing so himself. That is not his belief.

If someone is in favor of the issuance of speeding tickets, but doesn't voluntarily write a check to the government every time they go over the posted speed limit, does that make them a hypocrite?

You think the United States should invade Iran? Feel free to go there, grab a gun, and start shooting at their army. Otherwise you're a hypocrite.

You think your city needs more police officers? Feel free to go to the police station and start training to become a city cop. Otherwise you're a hypocrite.

You think your local high school needs a new gymnasium? Feel free to grab some power tools and start building it, otherwise you're a hypocrite.

See how completely asinine this argument is?

all it will do is give government more money to blow.
