As Reform, to me the biggest issue we have is the extremely conservative Jew. They are the "We are the chosen people and that's that!' types that get us into trouble.
And funny how no matter where you go, those folks seem to be the biggest pain in the azz these days, regardless whether we're talking Jewish, Christian or Muslim conservatives!
Technically applies to more than the extremely conservative Jews. You can just as easily count the militant Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhists (and yes, they exist too), atheists, and well outside religious boundaries as well (fanatical liberals and conservatives).

Well, I didn't want to be Debbie Downerwitz to the whole world.
Maybe someone picked up on the FACT that Obama embarrassed Netanyahu in March, 2010 when he abruptly left a meeting with the Israelis and walked out to have dinner with Michelle and the girls,....AFTER BiBi had refused to immedicately accept Obama's list of 13 demands.
Or, just maybe everyone heard the less than flattering exchange about Netanyahu between Obama and the French president at the G20 in Cannes.
Or possibly that Obama didn't have time to meet with Netanyaju in September 2012 because Obama was "too busy".
Wouldn't you rather take Netanyahu's own words for it? According to Netanyahu those kinds of claims are nonsense cooked up my US media political commentators.
President Obama gave Peres the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Peres now reciprocates with the Medal of Distinction.
It is all a meaningless charade.
Yep; the politcs of international relations. Has little to do with just now one presdient to anther is viewed as being a better or not so good aly.I the end presidents come and go;alliance have not since WWII.
Obviously (contrary to your claim) you get a lot of your information from FOX, but I can assure you I couldnt' care less. If you want others to think you never heard anyone say a claim that Obama is anti Israel, then so be it. I am not interested in "he said, she said" games. As for being a "lefty" I'll bet your voting record is further left than mine.
So the President of Isreal who is at odds over any number of issues with the Prime Minister of Israel is going to give Mr. Obama some award that
1. shows Israel that Mr. Peres DOESNT have a bad relationship with the American President
2. is a political slap in the face to the sitting Prime Minister of Israel
and Liberals on C-D show an utter lack of understanding of the politics here.
Why am I not surprised.
