A lost cause to who? DC has become quite the area to live in. Neighborhoods that were deemed ghettos have been revived and are now thriving. So why do you think DC is a lost cause? Do you live there?

If you take it state by state according to a Bloomberg report...

Most Miserable
1. Mississippi
2. Louisiana
3. Alabama
4. South Carolina
5. Arkansas
6. West Virginia
7. Oklahoma
8. New Mexico
9. Nevada
10. Kentucky

The ranking was compiled by Bloomberg, based on 13 different indicators of 'misery' such as air pollution, high school graduation, poor health and violent crime.

Economic factors such as average salary, income inequality and the unemployment rate were also included in the calculation.

Only because they see the chaos around them and see what Obama is doing to the nation.

I am SO glad I got out of Cook County with extremists who want to ban guns and increase welfare. I now live in a collar county with moderate to conservative Dems and Reps and the teens here don't have babies.

What's interesting is that the miserable cities are all Lib strongholds, but the leading miserable states are all red states with the exception of WV, which is a blue state, but hates libs that want to take their guns.
