Obama is merely a figurehead to get people to feel better about the previous 8 years. Look at Congress and see that little has been accomplished now for 5 1/2 years. This is necessary adjustment time to get the 2000-2008 feelings of utter toxicity out of the American mind. Hopefully, it also breaks the strange affair that we have taken up in thinking presidents ought to be simple pin-ups for political ideological porn. But in America that is unlikely.

Sure Obama lies as all politicians do, like all people do. The surprise is that anyone actually cares that he or any other politician lies. The whole election process is a lie, c'mon!

Another one trying to rationalize her votes for the failure Obama. Sorry, he is worse than Bush by a country mile.

The previous poster's opinion isn't right, but yours is. That's quite a retort.

You voted for him too, so pardon me for thinking your judgment isn't all that great.

I'm rooting for neither party. I have no use for the Democrats or the Republicans. Maybe that's why I can see the obvious fact that Obama is simply a terrible president and his presidency has only escalated the divisions in our nation.

Obama is a charismatic figure who is great at making speeches, but he's a terrible leader. Why? Because he doesn't lead. If he used all that charm to plead for compromise and unity, that would be something. He doesn't. Instead, he let his Democrat allies slam through Obamacare without a care for what the Republicans thought on the matter. It got zero Republican votes. Obama's take on that? "You lost, we won. Now sit down and shut up." The precedent was set that he had no interest whatsoever in unity or comprise -- things that no president can be great without. And ever since the GOP took the House, he's been sitting on the sidelines whining about how Congress can't get anything done. He doesn't even try to work with Congress. He just keeps using executive orders for everything he can get away with.

We are significantly more divided because of Obama's Presidency. His time in office has by no means been a time of healing. Quite the opposite. Hostility and division over every controversial issue in America is at an all-time high.

Both Republicans and Democrats are liars and you have to be an idiot if you don’t understand it.

I will definitely admit that Obama has said some lies. I have nothing at stake in admitting that. He's a politician, for heaven's sake. I will also definitely admit that plenty of conservative politicians have lied as well.

of course obama was a liar, along with anyone else who was ever a president or ran for president of the united states. All politicians are liars and manipulators, and most if not all are full blown psychopaths.

You...don't get to decide who is and who isn't rationalizing their votes for which president. Nor do you get to dictate which president was worse.

And before you even attempt to lump me in, I didn't vote this past election. Neither candidate were my cup of tea, so I held out.
