Your point? Are you in agreement or trying to debunk the claim made in the post you quoted?

Barack Obama promised to close Gitmo. He has not, and it is clear it will not happen during his Presidency. That makes him a liar.

Neither. Just posting it for other's to read if they'd like.

If you pray real hard maybe he'll be impeached. I mean a girl can hope, right?

Gitmo?

Political promises are just wishes. Sometimes they happen, sometimes they don't. And sometimes they hit a brick wall.

Most Republicans have opposed Obama's plan since day one on closing gitmo. Any many Democrats in congress also opposed the closing. Even with a Executive Order, plans have been brought to a halt, when the senate would not fund the closing and moving of prisoners.

The House Armed Services Committee inserted language into a defense bill, during his first term, which specifically prohibits the use of funds to purchase or modify any U.S. facility for Gitmo prisoners. (and the fact that we have successfully held terrorists, spies and others in our prisons, many in congress still fear them somehow escaping into the general population)

And this year, again, a majority of Republicans in the House voted against closing it.

Every president has made promise that either, they could not keep, or decided against keeping, once all the details (and oppisition) was know. Many things that a politician would like to do, become unpractical, once examined later on.

Ronald Reagan promised during his 1980 campaign for president to balance the federal budget, but never submitted a balanced budget in his eight years in office. He also vowed not to make deals with terrorists or states that aided them. Oops, another presidential wish that was ignored.

No, silly, Democrats don't lie, they just are mistaken, because their underlings failed to give them the correct information in a timely manner. It is just an innocent whoopsie.

Only Republicans, especially George Bush, actually lie. If you wait long enough, they will make the train wreck which is Obamacare totally George Bush's fault.

Every politician is a liar, only stupid people believe otherwise. Liberals at least have the grapes to admit their politicians aren't saints.
