Really?? I think LOTS of people have a problem with that, in fact I find it much more offensive than "that's so gay." I used to work with the Special Olympics, and the athletes found it highly offensive too... so where do you get the idea nobody cares about that?

From my dictionary: retarded - slow or limited in intellectual or emotional development or academic progress.

Why would they feel any worse than being called "mentally challenged" or "developmentally disabled"?
