The Post Office would work if Congress would leave it alone.
The USPS is existing on junk mail.
They didn't evolve as mail evolved and moved to electronic.
Post Offices in Europe did and they are surviving.
The USPS has to make some hard choices here and jobs will be lost but they HAVE to adapt to the current electronic environment or they will go down in a smoldering heap of debt.

The USPS is in deep financial trouble and has been on that track for years under both D and R administrations.
