I smoke it because it makes me faster and stronger - after a joint, I can run down the neighbour's antelope, with ease. Before a joint I can only lift one small box, but afterwards, I can lift two boxes, with ease.
Marijuana smoke contains about 50% more benzopyrene and nearly 75% more benzanthracene, both known carcinogens, than a comparable quantity of unfiltered tobacco smoke (Tashkin, 2013).
Marijuana contains more than 400 chemical compounds, of which 33 are known carcinogens.

But are you faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound?

I reckon I am. Me and a friend are going to try the speeding bullet test this afternoon - the plan is for me to get a head start, and see if the bullet can catch me.
legalizing it still wont stop me from silently judging you for a horrible and disgusting habit and wasting your money on it
I'm afraid that even after legalization it will take another generation or two for that sigma to die out.
If you only knew how and why I use it. I don't fit your stereotype at all. Not even close.
But the really really sad thing is that I could invite you (or anyone with your mindset) into my life, show it to you, show you my accomplishments, my mowed lawn, nice house, etc, but you would still say that marijuana usage destroyed me.
I'm trying to understand the double standard. Neo Progs detest cigarettes (rightfully so) but think pot smoking is the coolest, trendiest, hippest thing ever. They're both carcinogens, stink like crazy and are terrible for your body, yet leftists are staunch advocates for recreational pot everywhere and staunch advocates against cigarettes everywhere. So please, help me understand the disconnect. Thanks
I'm sure multiple people have already written this, but there are zero health benefits from cigarettes and there are plenty from marijuana for people who have cancer, MS, glaucoma, etc. Plus most people who smoke weed aren't smoking it like cigarette smokers smoke cigarettes - - there aren't "a pack a day" marijuana smokers. And I say this as somebody who doesn't use either product.

Many, many people, conservative, liberal, independent, what have you are Pro-Cannabis.
And it has nothing at all to do with it being "hip" or "trendy".
The medicinal benefits are well-known and documented.
Most people are aware. Unless you're living under a rock. lol.
The majority of people have gotten beyond the "reefer madness" farce.
And they come from ALL backgrounds.
A Human smoking anything is probably not good for the body.
But most smokers, how many of those ciggies, one after another, does the average smokers go-through a day. Pot, yeah, it is probably a small percentage of the inhaled smoke compared to those smoking cigarettes.
Screw, smoke, ingest, inject whatever and whoever you want as long as it's consensual and you leave me alone.
Live and let live.
