Every spot at Cracker Barrel should be a handicap spot.

I like to think of them as pioneers. Just as the Conestoga wagons developed to enable cross country travel think what these folks are bringing to battery technolgy.

Every one of them rushes into the store to guarantee availibity of a battery powered "scooter" thereby driving development of that technolgy so that when our time in the sun arrives we can scooter our way from bed to biffy to kitchen to Denny's or Golden Corrall buffet without anything impeding our progress.

Watch out all you disenfanchised biped's still standing upright and tall. Protective gear for your shins will be the order of the day; my scooter bumper has spikes!

I've often wondered about those folks riding those scooters that completely overwhelm the thing and are often whole feet wider than the seat they're sitting upon. Are stores equipped to upright one of those behemouths if they upset themselves? Liability concerns must be a nightmare.

Resorting to calling 911 may become the norm: "hello this is Target on Lakeview Drive; we have an obese event in aisle 3, please send the bob-cat with the bucket and manatee sling."

Old people out number obese people by about 100 to 1 where I live.

Doesn't happen here. Though on Senior's Discount Day they circle the lot waiting for a handicapped spot to become available.

I work with people who abuse the HC spots. In most cases they got one with good reason but don't need it anymore. Sad.

Unless you need a wheelchair, a walker, or a cane to get around, you shouldn't be using the handicapped parking space.

I see people here at work park in handicapped spots w/their handicapped sticker all the time & they have no obvious physical disabilities. The news actually ran a story about it once years ago. Too bad it didn't change things.

This is a scam where people apply for and receive the permit to transport their elderly or handicapped parents and use the permit for themselves. They may use it legitimately once or twice a month.

We need to syphon off some of that independent nature and inject about a third of the present population, across the age spectrum with it.

Your dad's an inspiration.

Our last trip to Disney World was disgusting.

All those fat people on blubber mobiles.

They get front line access.....they take forever to board the buses.....and they're not "old". They ate themselves into a state of immobility.

Do us all a favor....stay home!

They're not elderly parking spaces, they're handicapped parking spaces. A person's doctor decides whether or not they have a disability that warrants them getting a handicapped parking permit and for how long.
