"We know it's going to be messy," said Jeffrey Crowley, a former top Obama aide on the team that spearheaded development of the Affordable Care Act. "There are going to be things that come up that are unanticipated," he added.
Why would it treat gay married couples any different than straight married couples?

Exactly how much is Congress currently "pouring" into same-sex marriage?

Because it's government. It's the nature of government to treat different people different ways.

That's why we should have a capitalist system free of government interference.

Goodjob, you people get exactly what you deserve.
And as was pointed out above your post, the evil, despised Dick Cheney was in favor of gay marriage while 0bama and the Clintons stated publicly that they were strongly, and firmly against gay marriage.

Because the definition of marriage does not include same sex couples, of any race.

It does in 9 states currently, and will federally in a few months.

And Bush said he was for it in 2004. He just wanted to call it a civil union.

The left acts like Obama is some kind of hero for 'evolving' into the same postion Bush & Cheney had a decade ago. lols.

Good thing Obama was elected though. Bush, Cheney & the Republicans hate gays. They'd probably kill them if they could. lols.

Being Liberal...
Brainless ignoramus idiots who are pathetic sad mother ****ers.
I really hope Obamacare cuts them off due to them being too stupid to function well enough in society.

On this question of politicians' "evolving" views, given that today is Good Friday, perhaps it's worth noting that the Emperor Constantine's views on Christianity "evolved", in all probability because he needed Christians' political support to retain his throne. As a Christian, it doesn't matter how or why Constantine decided to convert the Empire, I'm just glad he did.

This Gay Marriage thing has got to be the biggest waste of our time in the 200+ year history of the country.

Really, a complete non-issue like this that means absolutely NOTHING to 99% of the population is completely gridlocking the government when we have so many more important issues to deal with.

We cannot even get a basic gun restriction passed, but here they are ready to give the Gays the right to marry.

We cannot even discuss a budget but we can waste millions of taxpayer dollars discussing this ridiculous issue.

Let's just break the country up already. Let some of us have somewhere to call home that resembles remotely the US I grew up in.
Gay marriage was the reason Obama was elected. This was the issue the energized young voters to vote in 2012 for Obama in larger numbers than they did in 2008, despite the fact they had student loans and were living at home unemployed. 2012 was the gay marriage election. If Obama succeeds in this, his presidency will be a 100% success.
