Lefties seem to think that Jesus surrounded himself with practicing prostitutes, tax collectors and homosexuals.

They neglect the "Go and sin no more" part.

I think the key tenet of christianity is to "Love one another as I have loved you." There is a lot more talk in the Bible about Jesus doing just that than that one line in the new testament (not even in the gospel) about homosexuality possibly being a sin.

If more christians followed that golden rule, this world would be a happier place.

Who cares? We don't live in a theocracy, so public policy is formed from a secular viewpoint.

By the way, the next time you eat pork or shellfish remember that Jesus wouldn't eat what you are eating.

And it is a sin to judge people, but we tend to forget that.

Not judging, just asking.

Jesus judged peoples behavior all the time...."Go and sin no more."

I don't know, or care.
I also don't know, or care, what captain Ahab thinks. Or the cat in the hat.

Characters out of literature should have no say in the laws of this country.
