"Nicholas Kristof account@NickKristof
explosion is a reminder that ATF needs a director. Shame on Senate Republicans for blocking apptment "
Next thing you know, they'll try and see how they can tie it to Newtown and guns. Despicable dirtbags. No matter the crisis, we have horrible human biengs that do this, and sure looks like they're usually from the Left.
Don't forget it's tax day today, surprised no lib has hinted that a (Boston) Tea party member may have done it as a protest against taxes
Do you actually think if we had safely protected borders that we would still be safe from terrorism and violence? That is just a stupid a notion that enacting stricter gun laws will keep us just as safe.
Maybe if the imbecile in charge of Homeland Security, and the dolt we have as Attorney General, not to mention our boob of a President would stop eyeballing law abiding americans as the enemy and actually maintain the borders, prosecute terrorists, we'd have a little more security.
Be careful what you say! Somebody should be along real soon to tell you what you think is just conjecture and speculation.
I hope everyone keeps in mind, that in chaotic situations like this, there is going to be a lot of misinformation coming out of the media (remember Sandy Hook, as well as other tragedies).
All of these news sources want to be the first with information, and a lot of times, that information isn't particularly accurate.
It could be several days (at least) before we really know the who, what, or why of this horrible event.
I guess it's human nature to speculate; I just don't think it serves any real purpose to be jumping to too many conclusions at this point.
Important time, and one where i do agree with you Cinebar.
Too much misinformation and not factual facts will be coming out, in chaotic situations such as this one. Information we first hear, will change over the course of the day, as more pertinent facts come out and are released.
It could be serverl days or several weeks, befofe we know first hand, who is responsible for this tragic mess. To jump at conclusions at this time, is useless. Our energy should go towards the victims of this horiffic tragedy, their families, and the marathon runners, who do not deserve this in anyway. And those who died a senseless death, hope they rest in peace.
I don't think at a time like this, it serves any purpose to make this right now politicial, when innocent people have been killed, or hurt. These people should be the priority, and finding out who is responsible.
I just called my daughter who's a freshman at college in South Carolina. Apparently she was able to get through to her sisters when I can't. Anyway, daughter #2 did go to the marathon, but she wasn't that close to the area where the bombs exploded. She is stuck now, can't get out. No public transportation, no cabs. Cell phone service is very limited.

Glad she's safe.
