She should have never applied for the job, if she was a lesbian, since she knew that the Catholic school would never approve of her leading a lesbian lifestyle.

True, but the school's "business" is to teach and instill Catholicism, not to teach or condone practices that are contrary to the Catholic Church.

This is really a non issue, because it's a private school. They have the right to set their own policies.

She's not screwed. The Columbus Ohio law is crystal clear - you can't take somebody's sexual orientation into account when making any kind of employment decision.

Well she should have followed the rules that the Catholic school had in place...however, that being said...geez 19 years down the tube...she must have been a good teacher-

I'm torn on this one..
