If such a policy is so important to uphold to Catholics, why the hell did it take 19 years?

If the teacher was openly flouting Catholic teachings why did it take the church 19 years before finally deciding to fire her?

If the catholic church is going to take a hard line on homosexuality, then it should defrock all gay priests who represent that organisation. And as it has become clear, there are many of them.

A few months ago the leading catholic in the UK cardinal Keith O'Brien, who was, by the way, rabidly anti homsexual, had to resign because he had used his position, and his power to coerce young priests into having homosexual relations with him.

Four priests had complained directly to the Vatican but no action had been taken against the cardinal, so they went to the press. This is the problem the catholic church faces, namely it's secrecy, and it's staggering hypocrisy.

And we will continue to support schools that teach correct morals to our impressionable children. Homosexual behavior is immoral and at odds with God's law and Christian belief.

It's ok to be gay if you lie about it and keep it secret. That's the lesson the Catholic church (and other Christian denominations) teaches each and every minute of the day. FACT. There is at least one homosexual in YOUR church and you think they are just swell.

As long as the gay priests stay celibate there is nothing wrong with it. Even gays can be abused and sexually coerced---seems that was what went on in that case. Shame on him. I hope he is defrocked as well and loses his position. You notice he was banned from going to Rome.

The church has nothing against gays. It's the lifestyle that is wrong, sex with other men.

That they have homosexual urgings is not a sin. Giving in to those feelings and indulging in homosexual acts is. Someone who wants to murder is not a murderer until they have murdered. We all have sinful lusts and desires. Resist them and the devil will flee.

Bullpucky. Gays do the same sexual deeds that their heterosexual counterparts do. This has NOTHING to do with genitals, that's you fetish. It's about who you love and have a bond with.
