No a big supporter of gay but this is wrong. The teachers conduct was in keeping with the standards of the school...if the school did not know she was gay then - the teacher must have been very professional..To rat her out like that is simply mean spirited.

Why ae we still discussing homosexuality?

The tragedy in Boston showed us that we have more important things to worry about than someones sexual preference.

Yes, the Church certainly does a fine job at containing perversion, doesn't it? A bunch of middle-aged celibates and pederasts imparting proper values to their youth.

Good one (at least I hope that was sarcasm).

I know that. I just find it funny.

And even a religious school contract can't have provisions that violate local law.

If it was anything other than a religious school, I would say it is wrong but to work there you are expected to follow the church's rules. Almost all christian churches are anti-gay. To expect them to have a teacher who says they are religious but gay, is along the lines of lying which the church is against as well.

Note, I am not anti-gay. I just somewhat understands the school's point.

Who are you to tell someone else to get on their knees and pray? Just more sinful pride.

As has been pointed out in this thread, yes they can. Local law can't violate a schools first amendment rights.
