your response , again, makes no sense. You made a a claim and instead of backing it up, you go off into a rant about taxes.

Did you go to college, and if so, did this happen to you often? I attended a total of three colleges, and not once was I "forced to keep my mouth shut" or inundated with ANY politically-leaning biases. Matter of fact, I wouldn't be able to tell you the leanings of my professors if you paid me.

Please enlighten us on your educational background, and cite examples of where you witnessed what you claim - and if you cannot do that, just admit this is your active imagination at work.

My school even has free speech areas set up for the wackaloons to talk about anything and everything they want for as long as they want.

An accidentally capitalized letter hardly even qualifies as a mistake... at least she used the proper contraction, which is more than I can say for half of the posters on C-D (who don't even know the difference between your and you're, for example).

Oh no - FREE SPEECH??!!!

Is that a liberal thing now? I thought conservatives also supported freedom of speech, especially given how they cry about it whenever anyone faces public backlash for saying/doing something stupid. Guess I was mistaken, so go liberals!!

Like many others, I also believe that intellectuals mingle and are typically educated by liberal colleges. The school I currently attend is where I have a professor that claims to be 'Independent' although he seems highly socialist/communisit in his views example:

"Would you guys rather go to free colleges, free health care, free housing that has two bedrooms at the least but you have to give some rights or would you rather have to work for everything you have?"

Two people, including myself, raised their hands for earning things and having rights, but the rest of the auditorium wanted the free things. My professor asked why I would rather earn things and dismissed what I had to say, he also did the same to the other girl; pretty much he was saying its human nature to want things free at little cost to their freedoms as opposed to earning everything and having more freedoms. But because he labels himself independent (independent in name only) and I was at the point a liberal, I switched my political views to independent and ever since I've been truly a bi-partisan person. I can congregate amongst liberals and conservatives without any problem because I don't see the need to point out a specific party for this or that; I agree with liberals on some issues (social) and conservatives with some issues (economic).

I was blown away by the almost rabid preaching of liberal ideologies from my professors and the student organizations. Good god the PETA people were the worst. Where I come from you just don't get in people's faces. You converse, and if its someone you know well you might have some heated debates, but at the end of the day you are still friends and neighbors. In undergrad it was more like you are with us or you are against us.

Good God, THAT is what you took away from her post? So blinded by your ideology that you think that rabid liberal preaching is a good thing?

Liberal engineering and math is the worst!

Seriously though, wth are you even talking about? You will have a "liberal bias" if a "liberal professor" (add the words "evil" and "atheist" if you like Chick tracts) is teaching you on some political points. But the opposite is true if you have a "conservative professor". Yes, there are conservative teachers dontchaknow. Maybe you don't.

Since conservatives often like to claim liberals are generally stupid and/or uneducated, one would think the universities are spilling over with right-leaning professors. Correct? So either they're wrong about that assumption, or they're complaining about their own "kind" and how they teach. Which is it? Make up your minds, conservatives!!

In reality, there are probably more professors who lean left - but that certainly doesn't mean ALL professors do. And again, I have absolutely no idea how my professors leaned (with the exception of maybe one or two).
