I think it is stupid to target felons. Most who committed more crimes don't care about staying clean. They obtain guns other ways. So what is the incentive for people staying out of trouble. It Is unconstitutional To Sentence Someone To Life With Out The Offender committing a crime punishable by life. If there was an invasion of America, then americans would want the same people getting scrutiny for possession of firearms to help protect this country. No justice
The government is legally allowed to take rights and privileges away when you've violated law.
However I think that non violent felons should be allowed to own a firearm and I think *everybody* should be allowed to vote if they are not in custody. To deny the right to vote is to deny the right to speak your mind about your right to violate the law(s) you've violated in the past.
Laws prohibiting felons from having guns certainly make politicians look good. That's one of many laws that accomplish nothing but make people feel like they are doing the right thing.
I am petitioning the US ATF for my gun rights, but the state I live in doesn't uphold the US pardons. So now I have to figure out what next.
