And it seems Petraeus just wimped out and didn't fight the changed talking points initially generated by his agency. Pretty sad.

The Benghazi Scandal Grows | The Weekly Standard
How is what the republicans doing any different? They are "campaigning" with this show so that they can get elected. Look under the table at their hidden agenda.

If anyone was to take these hearings serious, then they need to look beyond Clinton and Rice. They should be asking questions about the CIA and what they were doing in the Annex, which relates to the "diplomatic mission". Did the diplomatic mission fall under the CIA jurisdiction, or the State Dept?

If you can bear to read something that is longer than two sentences or one brief paragraph, it draws attention to some interesting questions that should be asked and to whom, it widens the thought process to include other aspects that should be addressed.

Maybe the hearings need to be closed so that EVERYTHING can come out? What we are seeing is glossing over a situation, rather than getting to the heart of it. There is alot of information that is not public but those involved in the hearing are privvy to it and can use it in a closed hearing..

The hearings are not over. After this wednesdays hearings after hearing the fresh evidence emerge that senior Obama administration officials knowingly misled the country about what had happened in the days following the assaults even Democrats are asking for more hearings to find out more.

Patreus is the one to ask, not Hicks. Hicks didn't work for the CIA and was not part of the revisions.
Those happened in DC at high levels.

Nuland and Patreus are the ones to ask.

Rice was just a puppet. She had no reason to talk and get input from anyone as she was given the points and coached for that Sunday go round on TV.

Read the link I provided to my response to you. Maybe you will get some insight as to why Petreaus didn't speak out.

If anyone is a "pretender" it is the current resident of the White House.
I did read the article. It's about various government agencies debating the talking points. Wow, big bombshell there--agencies making revisions to a document before it is finalized. I'm sure THAT never happened before! Every other administration immediately sent out their first draft of everything, with no review, no revisions.

In the meantime, show me where Republicans have been "constantly calling for action" to find the perpetrators. These hearings have been all about talking points, and nothing more.

Cummings did not waste any time before going after Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), for what he believes was the congressman using the Benghazi attack for his own political gain.

But that changed. While he said the oversight committee has a duty to hear testimony from Hicks and his fellow whistleblowers, “we also have a duty to thoroughly investigate these claims.”

The Committee was briefed by the CIA and there are areas the Committee cannot talk about.
Remember this is CIA. Covert operations are just that..covert.

Out of all the employees at that CIA base, only 7 were State Dept and the rest were CIA.
I think there was a covert operation going on to run arms to Syria that went bad.

Bush did not get a pass .The 911 commission looked into every aspect. Why not a commision here if that would make you feel better
