This wasn't do to the success of New Deal programs, but rather because government meddling in the economy prolonged what should have been nothing more than a sever recession making proud hard-working Americans desperate and dependent.

You can be certain that is a lesson not lost on today's Democrats.
Dummycrats can only pass their agenda during times of crisis.

Fact.

Forward to what?

Highest poverty rate in history?

Lowest worker participation in decades?

Longest period of high unemployment rates in 8 decades?

Tea Party Patriots want to get back to our constitutional foundation.

I report the facts, you decide.

Their primary goal is to discredit and defame President Obama. They won't do ANYTHING for Americans that might benefit him politically. It is all a bit silly now, as Obama won reelection, so their hatefulness has no strategic purpose. I've never seen anything like it. I suppose the McCarthy era was kind of like this, but that is before my time.

I would not put all Republicans in this camp at all, but the TP caucus is truly a national disgrace. And if republicans want to provide national leadership again, they will have to DO something besides try to screw the other guy and bring our country to its knees in the process.
Obama looks bad all by himself.

The Tea Party are the only politicians that do what they said they were going to do after being elected. Look at their voting records on spending compared to other politicians that said they would cut government.

I think they should stick with their original message on lower taxes and smaller government. Get rid of the birthers and religious right and their agendas and they will gain in popularity.

Obama is the direct opposite of what the tea party wants. He wants to grow government. That is why they will constantly attack him.

Surely you do know that, right? I guess not, because you then went on to post a stupid chart about jobs, while ignored that that happened under a Democratic Congress.. Care to tell me what they did to stop this from happening?

Even dumber is the Tea Party wasnt around during that period of time.

To show you how dumb you look, and how much of a hypocrite you are, let me see if I get this straight
Bush is responsible for job losses, but then flip flooped into blaming the minority of Congress, i.e. the Republicans, are responsible for the downgrade in credit. Do you always pick and choose who's responsible for what, depending on their political affiliation?

I follow Lichtmans "13 Keys" theory, which holds that Presidential elections are, to some extend, referendums on incumbency. So the Tea Party caucus obstructing Obama is just good politics. I dont say that is what the Tea Party caucus is doing intentionally, but the effect will be beneficial in 2016 if the Democrats can be seen as ineffective.

There is of course the basic ideological difference between the the two, which probably is what accounts for their holding the line against Obama and the Dems.

Oh Goody. I'll help!

“In the end it didn’t pass because we’re so politicized. There were some on my side who did not want to be seen helping the president do something he wanted to get done, just because the president wanted to do it,” Toomey said. (Senator Pat Toomey this week on the background check bill)
