The GOP clearly abandoned all conservative principles beck sometime between the Vietnam War and the beginning of the Disco Era.

What we have now instead is big government, Big Brother, nanny state, moral watchdog neocons. The actions of the Republican Party and heck, the last three Republican presidents we've had, have been antithetical to everything actual conservativism stands for. The last three R presidents have been among the LEAST conservative presidents this nation has ever seen.

The best President this country ever had.

And along with Coolidge, the only two worth anything in the last 125 years.

It kind of funny reading this. liberals have run out of hating Bush now. Back to dead president's :I see. Others claiming Reagan would be a democrat. Strange times we live in; indeed.

Libertarians hate all Presidents except for 5: Cleveland, Tyler, Van Buren, Coolidge, and Jefferson.

And Reagan was at one time a Democrat. He is also largely responsible for dragging the GOP so far to the left on economic issues.

A strong defense cost money or did you think it was free?. He also had the ability to compromise and work with all sides. There will not be another Reagan in our lifetime or probably not, but we can live with the memory of those 8 years in CA followed by his 8 years in DC. Don't forget he had a Democrat congress to try and work with, not easy!!! But he did it and they mostly respected him.
And I'm sure Ron Reagan knows more about his dad than you do. He would not be accepted in the Republican party these days. He was an excellent actor, I give him that. But he was not the great hero that conservatives look up to. Reagan would have no problem accepting gay marriage among other things.

Yeah, and he grew up and realized the democrat party he belonged to turned into covert socialist who admired the SU for its "equality." Of course that equality was all a farce and that regime was totalitarian to its core with cronyism and nepotism running rampant.

Ron Reagan was caught lying about his dad's illness. Every doctor that was around Reagan says Alzheimer's came on after his presidency. Ron, and the lying liberal that he is, for his own gain, tried to refute all his doctors while not having ever graduated from anything but ballet school.

So, no, Ron can't be trusted to tell the truth when it comes to his dad.

Watch a Reagan speech and compare it to an obama speech.

Reagan loved America with all of his heart.

obama loves himself.....hates the idea's of America.

Uh, because it wasn't and it didn't. What part of the 3 longest economic expansions in U.S. history is so hard for you people to understand?

What, you're going to say Reagan created the housing bubble or something stupid like that?
