That money would have been better spent on cracking down on the criminal activity that comes with illegal marijuana.

Bill Maher once said on his show, that even his republican political guests tell him privately (off air) that they think it should be legalized, but that all politicians are afraid to be the one to say it publicly. So instead we spend millions and millions prosecuting people for it, even though national polls show more and more people are for it, and this goes across both party lines. I am disappointed in Obama's stance on this issue.
