And, no Harrier I am not a conservative, I just think multi-millionaires should pay for their own stadiums rather than relying on the tax payers to fund their pet projects.
As does Harrier - and you now see how liberalism forced the Sonics out of Seattle.

That isnt liberalism Harrier, thats the problem with your entire argument. many major cities build stadiums like these because they are revenue generators.

17,700 people in 41 home games buying beer, popcorn, hot dogs you name it. You are talking about 30 million + in revenue a year.

not to mention how that usually reverberates to businesses like bars in the downtown area. Your cities team goes to the finals, that means you have thousands of people out and about on a night they might not usually be out.

Great.

Why do the taxpayers have to fund that investment?

Why can't the team do so?

That is the difference between liberals and conservatives - liberals want to confiscate taxpayer money at gunpoint, whereas conservatives rely on and trust the power of the free market to stimulate economic growth.

Is this even a serious arguement? I am sure there are "Conservatives" in San Antonio as there are in Miami! Just as sure there are Liberals in San Antonio as there are in Miami!
Is Miami a more "liberal" city? Probably!

Prove your thesis - DD.

Better yet - how about responding to the thread rather than going off topic and deflecting like you always do since you have no legitimate argument or contribution to the thread?

You continue to make claims about liberal ideology that just isnt true Harrier. I know i wont change your mind, but atleast consider the fact Oklahoma is the reddest state in the union. All counties went to Mitt Romney and the mayor of OKC is a republican and guess what..... the City own's the Thunder's arena.

as i said, these stadiums are a key source of revenue for many cities, isnt a liberal ideology to fund sports.Just because your team left and you also dont like liberals doesnt mean you should blame us for your problems.
