Yeah... that's a stretch there, bub. Even if liberals hated capitalism (which they don't), I don't think their hatred would go so far as to object to a stadium's location.

And capitalism allows for the NBA to exist in the first place, so if liberals hated capitalism (which they don't), they would also hate the NBA.

They would if the Environmental Impact Report showed that building a stadium would have an adverse effect on the boil weevil population.

So we go from socialism to environmentalism. Good to see the goalposts are moving all over the place today. It's especially fitting in a sports thread.

You simply think about liberals constantly, don't you?

Miami has city limits, you know.

It depends on where you live. Cities like Jacksonville, FL, Columbus, OH, Louisville, KY, and I believe Charlotte, NC have started to annex their suburbs in their respective counties. In places like Cleveland, where that isn't the case, and while I don't live in Cleveland proper, when we go out of town we tend to reference that we're from Cleveland (or at least say we live near Cleveland). It is after all the anchor city and largest in Northeast Ohio.

This is a political thread - if it had been a sports thread it would have been moved to the sports forum.

Harrier knows - he has replied to threads that have been moved to Sports from P&OC and then explained to the bewildered Sports mods what happened.

There is nothing wrong with being an environmentalist - that was once one of Harrier's career goals.

Harrier reconsidered when he realized that environmentalism had been taken over by the loony left.

Harrier supports common sense environmental regulation that does not have an adverse effect on private property or business.

True.

Los Angeles became so big because it annexed neighboring towns since LA had access to water.

Water is a huge issue out here - see the movie Chinatown(1974).

Yes it's a political thread, but when you start making strawmen about how liberals hate Staples Center, which has nothing to do with anything, then it becomes more of a problem.

Anyway, I agree with you on environmental regulation, but it also has nothing to do with why conservatives prefer SA and liberals prefer Miami.

Harrier never said that liberals hate Staples Center.

Harrier is glad that you share his position on the extent of environmental legislation.
