Dear Mr. Government,

Despite the billions you've spent on sex education and free birth control, millions of us still don't know how we got pregnant and find it easier to just kill our unborn children. Please ensure that our right to kill our kids isn't infringed.

PS, keep up the free birth control just in case.

Regards,

Liberal women.

That's what it's really all about. Looking down on "sluts" from their shaky moral high ground.

Dear Dumbed-Down Self-Righteous Weenies

Among the many things you're apparently incapable of understanding are:

1) There is NO 100% effective method of birth control other than abstinence

2) The belief in abstinence as an effective method of birth control should exist in FantasyLand, no where else

3) Abortion DOES NOT kill children, infants, kids, etc.

Facts are these funny things.

While teen birth rates have dropped, pregnancy rates are still too high

Quote:
Teen birth rates are down, way down, across America.

The latest national numbers from the Centers for Disease Control put the overall decline between 2007 and 2011, for teens ages 15 to 19, at 25%. And since 1991, rates have been cut almost in half.
By State:

The highest rates are in those states hostile to abortion and birth control.

In Texas it's fine to regulate women's bodies but not exploding fertilizer plants.

Well, heck, no one ever accused cons of giving a damn about a human once the head crowns from the mother's vagina. Sheesh.

Birth control at best is 95% effective. If it's not used it is zero percent effective. The pill gave women freedom from unwanted pregnancy. That was a good thing. Given the access to birth control, the current abortion rate does not correlate with the effectiveness of BC. In other words, women use abortion as a form of birth control.

Abstinence is a silly concept given that humans are sexual creatures. But we can teach responsibility for our actions.

Abortion prevents a life that would have otherwise existed. The notion that a fetus isn't "living" is just silly to anyone who's ever seen the results of an abortion.

Dear everyone in this thread,

All this talk and clever sayings don't mean a thing because there's about a 99.9 percent change this will be struck down at Circuit.

Signed,

Me, a Houstonian

I worked in an abortion clinic as a security guard a long time ago, so I've some of the girls who abort their pregnancies. They're just girls, and they are never terrifically happy about being there, to put it mildly. They aren't dirty whores, and they certainly aren't blase about it, tootling on by for a quick abortion on the way to meeting Muffy and Sarah for bubble-teas. It's a pretty awful experience for these girls, and I find these cries of "harlot!" a touch over the top. And vile. Over the top and vile.

I've had to deal with such people in real life once, but only once. For the most part, protesters were peaceful, not terribly numerous, and stayed off the private property and on the public property like they were supposed to (they were Canadian pro-life protesters, after all). Fine. They oppose it, they're making their views known without getting out of line, and other than the two arson attempts that prompted the hiring of security in the first place the gig was pretty quiet. Exercise a little bit of Command Presence, ask the nice elderly ladies to step back and they step back, everything's fine. I got a lot of reading done on night shifts.

But opening day saw people like those who cry "strumpet! harlot!" climbing fences and jumping off onto the crowd control staff (moi) and calling us - you'll never guess - Nazis! Strident anti-abortion protestors are unhinged. It was like a scene out of Soylent Green or something.
