Do you guys have Goya down there? I don't think you do? But, we do here thanks to the large Puerto Rican population in the Mid-Atlantic. I wonder if that's something to get mad at, especially since Puerto Rico has the largest (or one of the largest) amount of veterans, per capita, of any state or territory of the US. Someone got mad at me on here for admitting that I speak Spanish to my Puerto Rican co-workers. Well, I have WWI, WWII, and Korean War veterans in my family, so I think my ancestors and living relatives have paid the price for me to speak whatever language I damn well want
A lot of the Latin American markets in Portland, Oregon(not just limited to Mexicans though they are the biggest group) will have Goya products. I went to a little market owned by a Peruvian guy and he had a lot of Goya stuff--I just used some Goya red kidney beans to make gallo pinto last night.
My grandmother's boyfriend(yes, my 85-year-old grandmother has a boyfriend) is a old second generation Puerto Rican guy from the Bronx who used to be a New York cop and served in the Air Force, though he said that in the old days he used to try to pass for Italian(things have changed since those days). He barely knows Spanish at this point though.
I guess all have missed the point I was trying to make like usual. We are all Ameircans first. Something that has been lost. That is why this country is sliding downhill faster than Phil Mahre on the slopes.

So salsa being the number one condiment is unamerican to you? It's really too bad that you hate Mexican food so much, it's delicious. Thank GOD there are now Mexican food aisles at grocery stores & also more authentic Mexican food restaurants.
Wrong! We still have a mainstream culture. All others are just minority cultures. I have no problem with natural and lawful change but my objection is to change via illegal immigration. Is that not justified?
Sorry your stereotypes are being broken.
Here this should help you remember the good ol'days.
It is really bad you don't even read the posts I was referring too and decide to chime in proving that. Yes I'm sure God had everything to do with those mehican food products. lol
Not really. It isn't a more genetically specific designation than "American."
