Yeah..we tried that with Benghazi but saying "It's the video stupid" over and over for 2 weeks didn't cut it.

We're hip deep with funding the army and who knows what else is being done covertly.

Al Jazeera is owned by Qatar Royal Family and they are big friends of Muslim Brotherhood. It will be very interesting to see reaction of Saudi Arabia now.

Would Americans tolerate a government supposedly sanctioned by GOD? Of course not...because it it impossible to speak on behalf of the all mighty..Egypt will do well- They have lasted for 6 thousand years..this is just a blip in their history.
You do so need freedom of the press right now, to avoid atrocities and keep people accountable.

That's not a good sign, in my opinion.

The hatred is deep seeded and has more to do with the US supporting a regime that for decades enriched themselves in a nation where over half the people live below the poverty level. We didn't help the Muslim Brotherhood, we just cut our losses with Mubarack. The Egyptians had seen enough and he was going to be gone with or without our support, that's how democracy works.

Valid concerns. Don't you think?

The values of self determination on the other hand... those appear to have been upheld without hesitation.

Actually yes. Several times. Go to the State Department's website and search on "Coptic." You'll find we've been working actively on the issue for at least the last three years.

Saudi Arabia already has congratulated the temporary head of the new government. There is no love for the MB with the Saudis.

Your quiver must be pretty empty when all you can come up with is "Benghazi."

I'm talking about the recent killings under Morsi.
Not even a mention of withholding our money until they fixed their problems.

The State Department Annual Report on International Religious Freedom doesn't even list Egypt as a nation of concern.
