Yes and the US is losing it's powerful influence over time.
That is becoming quite obvious.

Go back to Iran and move forward in time.
We're losing our influence.

Not likely - If they did they are utter fools.

Who ever the people want in power is who the USA should support. THAT would be closer to the idea of democracy - whether elected or not.

Egyptians in the streets are carrying signs stating that Obama is an idiot....How could they not think this when a standing President attempts to bribe the Brotherhood who hate America...what fool would give material support to terrorists?
The same one that bankrolls "rebels" to go from country to country instigating civil wars against the leadership.

It's all about resource wars. The petrodollar cannot be replaced and we'll do whatever is necessary to keep it in place.

We step in to "promote democracy". In reality we step in to replace one hand picked dictator with another.

Obama and the CIA screwed up and Morsi won.
Did you forget that LaHood had to pay to get his son out of Egypt after Morsi won ?
They won't let it happen again.

If the CIA was behind the uprising (would that be both uprisings?) in Egypt, is that to say that it was also behind the uprisings in Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Morocco and Jordan because all those uprisings were based on the same platform?

Nah, I'd say it's about the same.

Go back to the CIA backed coup in Iran and read your history forward.

The US doesn't involve itself in all countries; only those that serve our purpose.
Those rebels from Iraq did go to Libya. And the US did supply arms to them and money, plenty of money.

Notice neither Iraq nor Libya are talking about stopping oil trade in dollars anymore ?

ElBaradei, Mohamed Mustafa El Baradei, the ElBaradei who as Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) who undermined the U.S. position on Iran's nuclear program, who consistently challenged the Bush administrations claims about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. The Mohamed ElBaradei who called Israel the biggest threat to the security of the middle east and ElBarad called for international criminal investigation of former Bush administration officials for their roles in planning the war on Iraq? That ElBaradei!

Yes, he is on top of the list, and they are not looking for someone who has agreed with US 100% of the time. As a matter of fact Egyptians would accept anyone who looks too much like a US ass kisser. He is the most pro-US choice. Everyone, American or not, who challenged the Bush administrations claims about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction WERE CORRECT.

It was. Iraq actually stopped trading in USD, and they paid the price for it.
