The MB are Islamist extremists. They are considered the "peaceful" branch because they haven't resorted to violence "yet".
And until or unless they do resort to violence--against *us*--they are worth talking to at appropriate times and places.

Deflection, deflection and more deflection from the right who is, apparently with a straight face, trying to make the point the the Muslim Brotherhood are liberals because Obama recognized the political reality in Egypt (the results of a fair election). Maybe they are not brothers to the extremists in the GOP but they are most certainly cousins. You and they are one of a kind Brother.

It's clear that you don't understand the difference between Conservatives/Liberals in the USA versus Conservative/Liberals in the Mid-East ...... but do you ever consider that some of us are informed enough to understand those differences?

I've never seen or read of an informed person that thinks the Muslim Brotherhood is a Liberal anything.

Stop trying to equate political parties outside the US with US parties.

The Brotherhood is NOT US conservative nor US liberal.

The Brotherhood are peaceful Islamist extremists.

The world is not fashioned after US politics. K-12 does a poor job of encouraging lifelong learning.

But in 2 years you've had 2 military coups in Egypt.

There's too much at stake for us not to interfere anymore.
Our foreign policy of guns, blood, money and US backed dictators has resulted in much hatred among the people.

I think that our record of interference isn't a strong recommendation for more of the same. Time to sit on the sidelines. Maybe offer some friendly advice if it's asked for. Offer encouragement. Help democracy to take hold where it hasn't hardly germinated yet.

No one is disputing that he was voted in based on a "democratic" election. Being that it was a "democratic" election, the Egyptian people expected democracy to be implemented by a democratic government, and they got a dictator. Because the US supported Morsi they thought that the US would help guide Morsi in putting in place the first democratic government of Egypt. The US did try to guide Morsi, and he rejected the US all the way. Do some research as to what Morsi did while President and tell me one thing that he did that was democratic and good for the people of Egypt. Also research how the MB influenced that "democratic" process to get Morsi elected.

All you see is a person who was elected under a democratic election and refuse to understand how undemocratic he was. He must have been doing something wrong to cause 33 million people to up rise. Morsi protected himself from being impeached so that would have left the people to live under his rule for three more years giving him three more years to implement his radical Islamist beliefs and in the process kill the hope of democracy. I gather you are referring to the MB established in the states. They wouldn't get very far with violence would they?? But they are making headway in their peaceful jihad in the US, more so than the other developed countries where they are based.
