Exactly. If George would have said "can't tell" instead of black same outcome. However because he said black, TM supporters will twist it to say he is a racist and profiled because of that. Yet it's cool when grandmas are searched at the airport and you can't profile someone of middle eastern heritage. I call BS.
The media made it a racial issue, and created a new race by calling him a "white" Hispanic. What the heck is a white hispanic? One is either white, or hispanic, but not both. That's like calling Obama a white African-American, or a black caucasian.

So the state over charged him on purpose and hoped to make SOMETHING "stick"?
Anything that they attempt to charge him with should be overturned in an appeal. The defense prepared their case based on the murder charge. It would not be fair to try to charge him with something else after the fact. To me that is similar to double jeapardy.
They are working on clarifying if Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault can be lesser included charges. We will likely hear that conclusion fairly early today.
If the jury acts logically, then they would have to acquit on all charges if they believe the self-defense story. If they don't believe the self-defense story, but also don't believe the state proved malice, then there might be a lesser included offense.
I think I heard the state wants Aggravated Battery in addition to manslaughter added as lesser included offenses.
Though the state didn't come close to proving beyond a reasonable doubt that it was not justifiable self defense, I still feel the jury will want to punish him for leaving his car, carrying a gun, not identifying himself, and a few of his other actions, so will convict on one of the lesser charges.
You may be right. But given some of the lesser charges, result in 25 years, that's rough. I think its self defense or not. If self defense is believed by jury, then he should be acquitted of any felony charge
I'm surprised that yesterday the defense did not make a point about the SHORT attorney straddling that dummy. He makes the point that his legs blocked GZ reaching his gun.
TM is much taller with longer legs than that attorney. The spread of his legs would be much wider and allowed space to reach the weapon.
As a tall person, much of my height is between my hips and knees. I believe the Femur Bone area. Trayvon by his pics and the build of his father also had this length.
Short legs and long legs will have different angles and spacing when squatting.
Damn, a recess already? Now I will have to work for another 30 minutes.
