Watch how right-wingers work themselves into a tizzy trying to spew self-serving nonsense about the source of the data instead of addressing what the data actually indicates.
The hours got slashed last year because the IRS has a 12 month lookback for verification of hours.
Bernanke himself is stumped as to why there are more p/t jobs being created.
Of course they will all say it's not because of Obamacare yet they can't say what is causing it.
Oh, Kevin Pace will be thrilled to read this thread! He got cut back to 29 hours by the state of Virginia! Because of the Affordable Care Act!
From the Washington Post: "The impact on Pace and thousands of other workers in Virginia is an unintended consequence of the health law, which, as the most sweeping new social program in decades, is beginning to reshape aspects of American life."
This country will suffer greatly from the loss of the 30th hour in the work week, and the 50th employee in the company, as companies on the bubble take action to survive the Age of Obama.

...did you even read the original study? Let's look at the facts behind it (not the news interpretation).
The 'study' looked at the number of people who worked between 26-29 hours in 2012 and 2013, saw that there was a decline in the number of people working that bracket of hours (despite lower net unemployment overall)
Raw data was not used as the source. The "author's analysis" was (again, not actual employment data)
The author cites the Current Population Survey as the source of analysis, even though there is no surveyed bracket from 26-29 hours/week on that survey
Employers are not fined for not providing health insurance to full time workers from January - April of 2013
In light of all of this, there was still a net drop in the number of people working between 26-29 hours between January - April of 2013 to 2012
And you consider this a 'valid' news article? Stop embarrassing yourself.

Is this any different than how the left-wingers reach into their hat of data?
Quote:
The report, from the left-leaning Center for Economic and Policy Research, says data show companies have not been cutting hours in anticipation of the law. It contradicts business owners who say they’ve already started cutting back.
So instead of taking it directly from business owners that say that have cut back hours, the left-leaners choose to call them liars and make up their own statistics and facts. BRAVO!

All new hires will be PT. The FT workers will be eliminated through attrition. They will have to do more and more until they get fed up and quit. That will be a win-win for the employers.
The VP of White Castle was on the Cavuto program yesterday. He said they would not be cutting any current full time workers hours, but any new workers will know up front before hiring that they will be getting very few hours and no benefits.

NPR....you know, the right wing propaganda machine was talking about this just the other day and noted that many companies lower end McJob companies have absolutely done this while higher end places haven't.
They noted that White Castle has publically decided to grandfather existing full-time workers but WILL NOT hire new workers as Full-time because they cannot afford it.
All and all, it's a mixed bag of results but at least thier report was honest....unlike your spin.
Seriously, with a straight face you are telling me that US employers aren't going to try to game their way around new laws requiring them to give more benefits? Really? That's some strong strong kool-aid.

Yep. Same interview I heard on NPR.
Basically, for a company in a niche like White Castle....they will faze out full-time employment due to this regulation.
