To say that one "brown-bagged it today," meaning 'brought lunch from home' is still a fairly common expression. Elliot Bronstein of the Seattle Office for Civil Rights finds this expression to be racist. .
According to LinkedIn, he has been employed in this position for 13 years/5 months.
We have dead weight where I work too. They must have naked pics of the boss. Of course Linkedin allows you to put whatever you want on your profile so who knows. Someone can be the Queen of England if they want.
Looks to me like city employee Bronstein has way too much time on his hands.
You shouldn't have written this statement bro, you probably just offended a lot of people, that don't have two hands. You really need to be more sensitive.
When did "brown bag" become racist against Blacks ?
Yesterday ?
I have no clue, I don't find the term offensive at all nor does it seem to be applied towards African-Americans. People at my work place including myself say race jokes the time, so to think that "brown bag" a non-offensive term can't be used in Seattle is a bit startling to me. Will there be repercussions for using it? Would my manager even take any of my co-workers seriously if they reported me for using the term?
Seattle sucks! I mean literally everything there sucks: the weather, the food, the women, sports teams, politics,... If I were president I would sell Seattle to Canada in exchange for a 6-pack of Labatt Blue and a couple of hot babes from UBC.
I remember a time when the people of this country were sane. It seems that is a thing of the past. It is sad to see the way this country is going, and we can thank liberals for the decline.
A county that was sane. Like the one that hung witches or the one that didn't black people go to clean bathrooms.
