Yep, they have to take lie detector test once a week. I would love if Obama, Hillary, Holder, Lois Lerner, oh and anyone on Obama's re-election team would take lie detector test on live TV

You don't think the CIA has ever threatened or conducted their own assassinations on Americans??

And as Benghazi is being used politically, the CIA would understandably be very interested in keeping the information of a highly politicized investigation contained.

There are repercussions when a political party takes an event and turns it into a political landmine. Some of the repercussions are unanticipated. Like how the determination of whether to close down an embassy gets taken out of an ambassador's hands and ends up in the hands of an administration that doesn't want to add fuel to the fire. So as a government, we end up overcautious, disrupt our embassy operations, and rack up the costs of maintaining those embassies and missions.

CIA personnel have always been subject to investigation by the CIA. And CIA personnel have always been charged with keeping the CIA's secrets just that, secrets. The ominous spin put on this is partisanship, pure and simple, and unreasonable as well.

Then there is the issue of accountability.

Can't have a rouge government now can we?

Give a good reason not to talk to Congress.

In the context of this thread, don't know, don't care.

The title of the thread is still a lie.

Clinton's arms funneling to Bosnia is good and the right thing to do to help out oppressed Muslims (AQ military networks) in a far off distant land in direct contravention to UN arms embargo.

Obama's funneling of arms (to AQ military backed networks) is good and the right thing to do to help out those opposed Muslims in a far-off distant land.

You still hear and see left-wing ideological nutjobs continuing to bring up Iran-Contra and refusing to see that their own most favored leaders aren't just funneling arms, they're funneling them to anti-American factions of AQ.

So, you have two parties after each other's throats. One created a law to punish a right-leaning US government from funneling arms to pro-American anti-communist regimes. The other party says there's "nothing to see here" as they funnel arms to anti-American terrorist groups in a far off distant land.

Help me out here...
I might say the same thing to you.

Partisanship is a source of much hypocrisy. And it rears its head on both sides of the political spectrum.

As for this article, I stand by what I posted 100%. The CIA is an intelligence agency. They operate abroad. They are engaged in keeping American secrets and finding out the secrets of other nations and other organizations, friend and foe. Maintaining the secrecy of their operations is key to their success. Finding leaks and discouraging leaks is part of "maintaining the secrecy". No one's family was threatened. The CIA regularly asks personnel to submit to polygraph tests. If personnel are leaking information, they know that they are putting their jobs at risk. That's ALWAYS been true.

Nothing in the preceding paragraph is the least bit partisan. It's simple, honest facts.

There's a difference between leaking secret information to partisan GOP Congressmen who will publicize and politicize those SECRETS, and testifying at a Congressional hearings which can be closed when sensitive information is the topic.

And the CIA personnel are not being prevented from testifying at Congressional hearings. They aren't being silenced. If Congress calls them to testify, they will testify.

But it's not unreasonable for the CIA to ask Congress to use its full powers of discretion when holding these hearings. It's not unreasonable for the CIA to ask Congress to keep national secrets, and the details of ongoing investigations, secret.

It is unreasonable for such secrets to be used as political fodder. I know the GOP wants to use our national secrets as political fodder right now. I know the Democrats have sought to do the same when Republican administrations have been in power.

It's the CIA's job to protect those secrets, regardless of which party is in power.

And trying to say otherwise is simply wrong.

Most of those new jobs aren't even contributing to the economy because they are GOVERNMENT jobs. People need to remember that the government doesn't produce anything! All it is is a drain on taxpayers.

Some zombies who don't get it think that if they have a government job and pay taxes they are somehow contributing but what they fail to see is 100 percent of their income was paid for by taxpayers. Whereas if they worked in the private sector it would be paid for from sales of goods and services that people actually want and need.

A few years ago the government was 2 times the size of the private sector. It has to be even bigger than that now as the Obama administration clearly wants to shut down small businesses. Hasn't the SBA shut down?

We all know by this time in our lives. It is only a damn scandal, when the other side is doing it. We all know this, we are not dumb

I think this administration is the most scandalous ever. Lies, Deceit, and Distoritions.
