Don't take it that i don't agree with you as I do. NY state is always changing history. NH State would have you believe ft Ticonderoga was always just a nice place to have a picnic. Never a word about the 25,000 + dead laying in the soil.

I don't mean buried either.....

Start going down the list--we have one of those wacky churches in this area, and most of the parents home school. The ones that don't are a major pain in the backside. When my kids were in elementary and Jr. High, they'd have a fit if the class read a book that talked about ANYTHING that wasn't a happy little story based in reality, or one that talked about bodily functions, or any type of fantasy story, or anything sad, or social problems, or divorce, or things like abuse--god forbid sex would ever be mentioned in any context. They managed to get Halloween costumes and a Halloween party banned--now we have a fall celebration--and their kids go to church on Halloween and dress up as bible figures to keep them safe from satan. I sat in a meeting once when one of them came completely unglued over someone who used the word "evolved" in a discussion about an ongoing situation--it referred to the concept of evolution! Gasp! Their kids are the ones who start ranting in class when they get to the section of biology on evolution. All of this makes it very difficult for the teachers to do their job, and for the kids to learn. I'm sick of it.

Someone with common sense put a stop to banning those words, but AS THE ARTICLE states, they were proposed to begin with because of religious fundamentalist parents having a fit over the years, and they would find them offensive. Why would anyone who isn't a religious fundamentalist CARE about it?

I would venture to say the testing companies and book publishers refused.

Well the beauty of insanity is you don't know you are a Democrat.

I wonder how far one would need to dig in to language to discovered democrat can be traced to demon? it mist be related..

Or perhaps Democrats don't understand they are ALL Insane. None of them have any ability to think and be rational. They indeed have sheep mentality. Almost lemming like.

I wish Obama would just lead then ALL into the sea. I am certain that if he would just lead they would all follow.

Be ok with me to use 'progressive liberal' which has nothing to do with being liberal. That's insanity too. being a 'progressive liberal' and demanding 0 TOLERANCE is insanity.

DHS tried in 2009 to redefine "terrorism" and move away from that word. But it didn't take hold.

Obama-Speak: Homeland Security Secretary Replaces 'Terrorism' With the Term 'Man-Caused Disaster' | NewsBusters
NAPOLITANO: Of course it does. I presume there is always a threat from terrorism. In my speech, although I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters". That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.
