Australia has a 35 hour work week.
The retirement age in most countries is 55 to keep the door revolving, yet here they want to raise it...

I don't think it really need to be mandated. Even Mcd's and WMT workers get vacation time. I don't think I ever heard of a company not offering vacation time either.

You're talking about SS and that is because it is unsustainable. There is no law preventing you from retiring at 45.

Until amnesty passes, or they are issued drivers licenses or when they work with a false social security card.

In the 60's it often only took one parent with a good job to support a family. Now it takes both parents working full time.

Many Americans are now working 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet.

I would say our work load is increasing in a sense. At least the Middle and Lower Economic groups.

I agree 100% with that.

You can retire at 55 in America if you want. What is stopping you?

Well hopefully then the Dems will wake up and realize what the Republicans have been saying all along. When their benefits are being lost that it is.

401Ks are set up such that you can retire at 55 and start withdrawing from your 401K with no penalty.
Companies that still have pensions list 55 as early retirement.
