We are against going to war with Syria because it's the wrong thing to do. It's irrelevant what Bush would have done. I realize the concept of having principles is difficult to understand for many liberals, but that's the reason we are against war with Syria.

See, both your President and your Vice President publicly said that Bush had no authority to attack a nation without congressional approval. Then they got into office and attacked Libya. Without congressional approval.

And unlike Obama, Bush did get congressional approval for the attacks he made.

So sorry to inform you that your attempt to say conservatives are hypocrites is a failure. The hypocrites here are the Democrats.

W was not a conservative.

Hopefully conservatives have learned from past mistakes.

OP-What will be your take when most/all Dem members of the Senate vote to go into Syria? Will you decry them for making the same mistake as Bush?

It really seems he has less support from liberals overall or it would be no question of getting congressional approval. Its not conservative that are behind those protesting in Washington and few other places now. One only has to read this forum to see or a poll worded different ways to see support can often mean support for doing what exactly. I am not for just retaliation strike; its needs to serve a purpose further than that. Do you really think a shot across the bow is going to hit the ones who actually did the supposed gassing? Its like saying we do a drive by shooting at houses in those areas where crime is high to me to put the so called fear of god in them.

Why are liberals *for* going to war with Syria? Is it because the boy king wants it?

Threatening people for no real valid reason has little merit on being a super power.

Also making things up to save face and your reputation doesn't do much good either.

Now I really hate the UN, but they all said we would be going alone on this one and to kiss our arses.

Who's got the bigger/EST Johnson isn't a valid reason.......SIR!

Bush isn't President. Neither is Ford, Lincoln or Nixon.

I dont even think he wants it, which makes the whole thread completely stupid.

He wants to drop a few bombs, and then pretend he did something to help. All out "war", (even though dropping boms is rather cowardly), I dont believe is even being discussed by anyone. Maybe the OP is hearing different discussions than the rest of us.

When there is a D after the fact, does hypocrite come to mind! does to most. Biggest group of the most hypocritical people around.

And you can take that to the bank?

With most demotwirps, it is do as we say, clearly not what we do.
