If Obama had not had to contend with the RWNJs in congress, and his ideas had been given a chance things would be very different today.

They fear above all else, that if implemented they would WORK WELL. That is the sole reason they oppose. Just consider for a minute. If they had just let the president run with his agenda in his first term and things worked out as badly as they would have you believe then Romney would now be sitting in the Oval office. The RWNJs only agenda is the protection of the 1%. Nothing else at all matters to them. They would sink the entire nation rather than let one single simple measure through if they thought it would have a negative impact on their masters. It just makes me sick.
Please tell us what would be different if the House was also controlled by the Democrats.
After Obama is out, libs will have had eight years of control. Eight years of president, eight years of senate control (we will see in 2014), and two years of congressional control. Few, if any presidents, have had such a political landscape in which they could implement thier policy.

lower incomes
more unemployment
lower savings
more in poverty
more on foodstamps
more homeless
more part time workers
...........................what next? More of the same policy of the previous eight years? If not, what "new" ideas will liberals have to reverse the above trend? Do you contend it will take sixteen years? Fifty years? Why did it take Reagan only three years?

It is likely going to be say a Rand Paul or Chris Christie. You know a moderate republican or a libertarian RHNO.
And while I am not exactly Republican (if anything a socially liberal-conservative) I think the issue is putting hindsight to Bush's problems. Cutting tax rates was a good idea in theory, they worked in Texas while he was governor. However unlike when he was in Texas, there was issues with three recessions (one inherited by Clinton, another that was a double-dip of the first one. and the most recent depression (let's face it, it is only a recession in name but depression in the case of recovery.)) Add to that one unexpected war (if you think the war caused by 9/11 was foreseeable, you should be a millionaire on the stock market while Iraq was one I thought would have happened sooner with all the sanction issues during the late 90's.)
This was even before Benghazi. I haven't been able to trust her for EIGHT years before that. With her track record, I am not surprised she would fumble with Benghazi.
