Does that answer your question ?

Commodities aren't traded based on the political party of the US President.
The world does NOT revolve around internal US politics.
you should start a chain email for your comrades.

What about the $4+ that it was during the summer of '08 before the economy collapsed? Anyone who brings up the price of gas when Obama came into office is intellectually dishonest.

Prices do go up and down around Fed policy and the president does decide who will set that policy.

What he was saying, Obama does not control the price of the oil. But Obama's intervention policy drive the price of energy up.

Price of energy has been stay in this range for over a year. Nothing special about this.

If that is true, then the opposite is also true.

Obama's intervention policy drive the price of energy down

Several months back, the Obamaphobes were posting all kinds of nonsense about presidential policies driving gas prices over $5/gal.

Blinded by irrational hatred.

Welcome back to reality.

Good job, Mr President!

Gas prices did go up when it looked like we were going to get involved in Syria (more than we already are). Luckily we avoided that.

Sure are some pathetic responses on this thread -- they are more or less proof that some of you see Obama as a sort of god/deity figure. Or at least something of a king. THANK YOU, your highness! (eyes rolled back in head). And amen.

How nauseating. And potentially dangerous.

I've never looked at anyone in a government position of power as anything but a flawed individual that could not be trusted, and needed to be scrutinized very closely because he/she holds the power to turn the life of the "commoner" into a living hell. The proof of the validity in that statement is what this nation has become since its inception.

I'd doubt there has ever been such a thing as a president (or king, ruler, emperor, etc) that was driven 100% by "what's best for his subjects." Or even 50% for that matter. Man is not wired that way. And neither is your current god.
