The conservatives had a chance for input when the bill was being debated. The law itself was based on conservative idea and is akin to romney care and the reason why you are force to buy it is two fold.

1. Insurance works by spreading risk. If only the sick buy health insurance it will not work.

2. Like people driving around without car insurance there are costs to socitiety from people without health insurance. If you should get sick the emergancy room is required to stablize your condition regardless of your ability to pay. This leads to lots of costs for hospitals. If you have insurance the hospital will get paid for it's services.

The Law was never debated ... No one knew what was in it .. nothing to debate ..

They had to pass it so they could know what was in it ... You can't debate anything if you don't know what you are debating about.

ACA should have never been passed without being looked at first, read, debated.

If Republicans and Democrats knew what was in it, it never would have made it out of committee.

Ok, so you're blaming it on the republicans. Of course And we bother with you why? We already know their answer for everything.

Ah, yes the lawmakers knew that was in it when they voted(or not voted) for it like every other bill. It is just plain old conservative fear mongering at work(change of law equals bad).

We have been on TriCare while my husband was serving in the Marine Corps for 14 years, yeah he went to Desert Storm, we deserved the care. You my dear are a dumb ass.
Do the people who pay for Medicare, Tricare and VA deserve a small break like the ACA which I might add is about one fifth the cost of those plans or do you just say to them forget it, your on your own?? Mind you they are the ones who are paying for the Medicare, Tricare, and VA and at least 30% will be paying the full freight of their care.

Yes, given the politcal process, the give and take yes the house and senate would have to pass the bill before the dust settles. In short a bill must pass both house of congress and there can be a lot of back and forth as to what will or will not make it to the president's desk.

um .. Are you 6?

No one read the bill .. Even the people in charge of putting it together didn't fully understand it ..

The bill was never read .. Both Democrats and Republicans, and even Obama himself have already admitted to not ever reading it before it was passed ..

The bill is available on the internet and it isn't that long. I wont even waste the time to link to it but it can be read in about 5 minutes. Republicans have had 3 years to read it and find out what was wrong and yet after 3 years all they can say is lets defund the ACA. The biggest failure though of the Republicans is they haven't offered an alternative plan. The one that is the closest is almost a complete joke. They offer tax deductions that low income people are supposed to take. How does that help if you barely pay taxes. A high income earner writes off $5,000 and some guy barely getting by gets $100. You have to love the Republicans though since that didn't take 2,000 pages.
