but they should have done a better job prepping the site for the heavy amount of traffic.
Actually they said its not due to high traffic, they said that its due to poor website design, and the need to pass something like 95 files to your computer and back, just to register for an account.
Sorry to break the bad news to you but its not free!
You have to have a job and earn $15,800 which most people don't seem to know. The exception is if your state has expanded Medicaid. Still 30 million people either wont sign up or don't qualify.
Horrible website! They create anxiety by forcing people to purchase health insurance and then preclude them from finding out just how much it is going to cost.
Have not been able to log on - at all.
At this point I think the private sector and in particular Ehealthinsurance could do a better job. They already have a button on their site but they don't have the data. At this point I think the government should just turn all the data over to Ehealthinsurance and let them handle it.
The web site is orders of magnitude faster today, but it is still having problems "verifying your identity". I got in and verified+. over the weekend, and can now log in nearly instantly and get around very quickly among the plans. As for ehealthinsurance, at this point they do not have anywhere near the offerings that are on the exchange in my state, at least. It seems they only offer ones that they think are popular? Anyhow, it is light years better than it was a couple days ago, but still has some distance to go.

And 60 million more will just take the 2.5% tax increase and call it a day
Its been a while since I have seen such terrible web service. This is like 1995. Since the day it opened very few people have been able to get onto the site and look at the health plans. Even to browse the site you have to go through the laborious process of registering. I managed to register after a few days but never saw the plans. Since then I have been unable to log on. With the shutdown this story hasn't gotten much publicity. Heck even the Republicans aren't aware much or care about it. There are a number of stories though now showing up. I will give it a few more days but then maybe its time for someone to come in and fix the mess.
I don't care much for launch day... its already been addressed that the error was technical rather than volume...
