He means he's his own man --- he's working for the taxpayers, not to be friends with liberal hollywood and the liberal elite.

Besides -- you liberals now pretend to adore the liberal Republican McCain, but you sure didn't get out and vote for him when you had the chance. Liberal Republicans are losing elections. Romney did also.

If he was the total idiot that everyone is saying we would not be talking about him. How many other first term Senators get so much press. He is a genius.
That makes no sense. Because he leads a government shutdown that accomplishes nothing and costs the country 24 billion while scaring financial markets worldwide, this is the mark of a genius?

With that viewpoint, it is little wonder we have people like Cruz in Washington.

Regrettably for Mr. Cruz's future political plans, you need people to work with you to get any of your pet projects through the Senate. He has managed to alienate everyone who might be willing to help him. Therefore, his usefulness to his state and to the country has become nil.

He should sit down, shut up, and learn how the job works before he starts throwing his weight around again. Or he could try to run for President...I can see him winning the Iowa straw poll before he flames out.

He is a genius. He's getting name recognition. That's a large part of getting elected.

Also people aren't all as stupid as you think, most people know that Obama was completely unwilling to compromise --- so much so that HE shut down the government.

And he's standing up to bullies. Everyone can see that Obama's lap dog media is trying to gang up against Cruz and bully him -- but he's standing up to them. That's admirable.

He did not need to compromise on something that was not up for further debate or discussion because it was the LAW.

That word does not mean anything to Teabaggers like Cruz, whose sole intent is to disrupt the workings of government, much to the delight of their reactionary, low information supporters.

That they offer nothing in return, or share any willingness themselves with working with others, is also conveniently ignored to further their fantasy about bringing change to government by simply keeping it from functioning.

Just keep repeating that claim, while the people not on the hard right just roll their eyes and say they will never vote for The Texas Sen.

It's a joke now. Probably only eclipsed by my home state delegation. Arizona politicos are a national embarrassment.

Republicans for some strange reason think our politicians are great. Lol..
