And right on cue here comes the "it can't happen here" crowd.

Hitler didn’t take over a small government with an effective separation of enumerated, delegated and limited powers.

Hitler took over a large welfare state.
you're paranoid. Obama is not Hitler.

Funny how the more they lose, the more unhinged conservatives get.

Democrat voters question nothing at all. When they are told that no amount of national debt could be too much, they simply believe. To liberals, the government replaces religion, they actually worship their politicians as though they are some kind of gods.

I think the left is smart enough to realize that they don't need a Hitler-style takeover anymore. They can do it simply via the ballot box. Start with the 47% who pay zero (or less) federal income tax, then add in the 16% or so who are public sector employees, and you've got a solid majority whose interest lies in ever-increasing taxes and ever-increasing spending.

Hopefully like any prudent parasitic being they will at least be smart enough to realize that if you kill the host, the party's over.

I didn't know that. I wonder what his purpose of demonizing the elderly was?

So is this a thread about the history of Hitler? Does this relate to anything present day or just a reflection on the past?

Actually Fox Terrior, the reason people were so easily manipulated is because there was massive unemployment and the masses were on the government dole. They looked to Hitler as the man who would save them.

it's a standard tactic of you conservatives. Start losing, start comparing Obama and Democrats to Nazis...claim that they're about to abolish the Constitution, blah blah blah. Bunch of paranoid nonsense.

Btw, pretty much all of the civilized world has "a welfare state" by your standards, and they don't have Hitlers running the show, so something is wrong with your premise.
