I'm very happy that businesses are open on Thanksgiving. Last year we had to drive 7 hours to another state. Without gas stations, restaurants, and hotels, one of our family members would have been alone in the ER on Thanksgiving.

Wow what an evil world we have been turned into. I would be fine if CEO's and corporates left their families on important holidays and worked in the stores themselves that day. Such a greedy, cold hearted and selfish!

I hope that everyone contacts their local congressman to pass a law that forbids retailers to be open on major family holidays!!!!!! Unfortunately online petitions don't work because corporates ignore them despite hundreds of thousands of signatures mainly from workers!

Gahh greedy corporates! Isn't 362 days a year enough?!

If people didn't show up at the stores on Thanksgiving, the "greedy CEOs and Corporates" wouldn't open the stores. I'm sure that if this move wasn't profitable, the stores would remain closed.

Nobody is going to pass a law forbidding stores to open on Thanksgiving. If you don't want to support it, stay home on Thanksgiving. I plan to.

Well I do have one complaint in regards to football on Thanksgiving, and that is we're always stuck with the Lions and the Cowboys.

OP was so busy thinking like a democrat and liberal that they railed against the business but failed to see that if people didn't go shopping on the holiday then the stores would not open. Notice OP doesn't rail against the people for shopping.

I see you're from the Dallas area. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a Cowboys hater, and not a fan either as I'm just impartial shall we say. However; it would be nice to see them mix it up a bit.
