No doubt, the Colorado legislature and United States Congress will get right on that...

Don't think so.

I highly doubt it but at least in the CL the people can and more than likely will kick out any politician that refuses to at least entertain the idea. The people will speak on Tuesday. They have already proven they can and will throw out politicians who violate the US and Colorado Constitutions. A 3rd is up for the same thing.

I don't think a 51st state will get made but the people are obviously getting tired of the bureaucracy in the state capitol. Ignore at own risk. Could cost them their jobs at the very least. Like the article says 5 states were made the same way.

If you are expecting to see North Colorado become its own state, you might have a better chance of seeing the Cubs win the World Series in your lifetime.

Makes sense. The rich and wealthy are probably paying for all the weed-smoking lazy bums that's sitting on their ass all day collecting welfare.

The richest counties in Colorado aren't the ones interested in seceding however...

Whether or not it happens in Colorado, smaller and more homogenous is the future.

I think it will really begin in California, where the wealthy coastals will be increasingly unwilling to fund the Mexicans in the interior.
