One of the sad facts in our country is not enough attention was paid to the horror and massive death machine that Communism brought onto mankind. We always hear how bad the Nazi's were, which is well deserved, but rarely do we hear about the Communists.

Well thanks, you made my point for me. You have no quotes or other evidence. All you have is what's coming out of your imagination.

Because she is from neither party.
She's not beholden to either party and says so on her site.

The rich and the corporations are the enemy of the people and she plans to battle both.

I refer you to the numerous conversations in this forum regarding income inequality, the gist of which is that conservatives believe that's it's a good thing and there should be more of it.

But let's review a few conservative policy objectives.

Privatize Social Security = Wall Street gets even wealthier and ordinary retirement savers are exposed to much more risk.

Cut taxes for the wealthy and increase them for the poor = the rich get richer, the poor get poorer.

Cut benefits for the poor = ditto.

Eliminate the minimum wage = more profits for companies, less money for workers.

And so on.

I can't remember any elected Republicans from Seattle at any level in the 20+years that I've been here. The spectrum runs from center left to far left. Here's a video of Sawant. It's very long, but you can listen to about 2-3 minutes starting at 17:00 where she talks about all the high net-wealth households in Seattle. Then she decries the fact that we can get our hands on that money for public purposes such as transit, and to plug a $56 million city budget shortfall.

Then around 27:00 there is an interesting segment where she talks about her wish to convert Boeing to a "democratic public ownership." In other words, it would be in line with the classic definition of socialism: government ownership of the means of production.

Perhaps the Cold War is not over after all.
She said she wants to nationalize Amazon too.

Considering how many tens of millions it had murder, it would say it is...but then again we are not supporting a failed ideology?

In a way, I find a Sawant is refreshing compared to the typical liberal Democrat. As far as I can tell she actually believes what she says. So misguided though she may be, she potentially could be reasoned with. The liberal Democrat by contrast is just running rent-seeking scams, wheeling and dealing for cronies. They cannot be reasoned with, because they aren't debating in good faith to begin with.

As an example, I doubt that a Sawant would support the 4 tax-funded stadiums that have been built in the Seattle area in the last 40 years (and they want to build yet another as we speak). They take money out of the pockets of the poor & middle class, to provide a free work space for billionaire owners and millionaire players.

Charlie Chong is as close as you will find. I also believe DINO from West Seattle was elected to the state house via help from the few Republicans still within the city limits.

I am more offended that this marxist clown is allowed to teach economics at a public school in this state. Her religion does not allow her to understand economics. Her religion is anti-economics.

Boeing isn't in Seattle. HQs in Chicago, big operations in the Puget Sound area in Tukwila, Renton, Everett, Kent, and Frederickson. If any of the Boeing Field operations do spill over into Seattle from Tukwila, it wouldn't be difficult for them to adjust a bit to the south.
